The door is now open for the County to make changes to the current ordinances

To say I'm disappointed with the election results for Measure S is a gross understatement.  It all came down to who got out the vote, and too many growers just sat on the sidelines. (I'm sure it wasn't any of you).

The door is now open for the County to make changes to the current ordinances - but don;t expect changes that will help us.  Take a look at the first post on the Union today:

I am heartened that Measure S failed, but the threat of marijuana growers on our neighborhoods, our community, our government, and our schools still remains and needs to be addressed. It is an undisputed fact that nineteen out of twenty growers do so for self described "pain" and most of these are simply addicts lured in by the money to believe it is a medicine they need.

We need a new ordinance that is far more strict than the current one they wanted to upend. This is a powerful drug and all other drugs come through a pharmacy. How have we let a powerful psychoactive and addictive drug be grown, without the strictest regulation, by anyone that says they need it??

Those interested in saving our community from this blight please contact me and lets work through a new ordinance that allows marijuana to those that truly need it and stops the free for all growing we still have with the current ordinance. gregzaller@gmail.com

I want to thank everyone who worked on our campaign for your tireless efforts. Let's take a rest, dust ourselves off, and start working toward 2016.
